Marea Alta (1 block Routh of Hotel Seminole, Zona Rosa, Managua) – this is a well-regarded (and not so fancy) seafood restaurant in Managua. Items here range from oyster cocktails and octopus ceviche, to seafood spaghetti in wine sauce and surf n’ turf. For those note wanting seafood, diners can also order steak.
La Terraza Peruana (80 meters north of the Pasteleria Sampson, Microcentro, Managua) – a variety of Peruvian dishes are served here, such a Ceviche. The national drink Pisco is also readily available here. With advanced notice, diners can even order one of that country’s specialties: Cuy (roasted guinea pig).
Le Bistro (Alliance Française, Planes de Altamira, De la Embajada de México ½ calle al norte, Managua) – along with light French meals (sandwiches and soups), glasses of French wine are served here (at C$80 a glass)
La Casa de los Nogueras (Av. Principal #17, Los Robles, Managua) – this European-style bistro offers al fresco dining and a classy interior. The paella is well-recommended here, as well as the lobster. However, the chef here will prepared specially-requested dishes that are not on the menú.
